Hungry for more?
It's been a long time since I last attempted to blog and to be quite honest I really don't have the time for this, never-the-less, if nothing else but to provide myself (and maybe a few close friends and family members) a good chuckle some years from now I wanted to document some of my culinary journeys.
Full disclosure, I am not a professional chef... I am perhaps at best a talented amateur. I once had aspirations of working in fine dining, the push, the grind, being in the weeds, I'm one of the strange few who found it appealing. Long mostly thankless hours put into something that would be ultimately gone within minutes... does that make me a crazy person? no more then the heroes of this industry, at the end of the day I wanted to see people fulfilled and enjoying something that I made. Ego trip? perhaps, but to each their own little personal foibles.
What is this blog about? Eating some great food and my own journey on creating and recreating what I've experienced and learned along the way... honestly, think of this as my personal food journal... just in a more public setting.
When will this be updated? I've set a personal goal for 2019 to truly cook at least once a week (I'm ashamed to say with my schedule even that seems a bit ambitious at times), it might be something as simple as a roasted chicken, or something as complex as a 9 course tasting... (I'll talk more about Ellipses in a future post) but... let's for at least for the start that I will post something every two weeks... no promises beyond that, besides, if I'm busy cooking, I may not have the time to write up a post. We'll see, I make no promises, even to myself except to occasionally add my own whimsy on dishes... including concepts that may or may not ever see the light of day...
That's enough waxing on, there's work to be done and food to be found...
